NWCC Appoints Executive Director of Advancement and Foundation CAO

Terrace, BC—Northwest Community College (NWCC) announced today that Brian Badge has been appointed to the role of Executive Director of Advancement and Foundation CAO.

Since 2014, Badge had been the acting Director of College Advancement. This position was recently revised to include the administration of an endowment foundation and other responsibilities.

“Mr. Badge has worked diligently over the last two years to build strong relationships between the College, industry partners, and employers in the region,” said Ken Burt, President and CEO. “We are thrilled that he can continue to work as a community liaison, developing more opportunities to support our goals for student success.”

Prior to working in the advancement field, Badge was Chair of the Trades department at NWCC. Badge will start in his new role on September 1, 2016.

"I’m looking forward to developing new bursary and scholarship funding that can be sustained long-term,” said Badge of his new appointment. “This kind of ongoing support for skills training and education is critical for maintaining a healthy economy in Northern BC.”

Previous advancement projects that Badge worked on include community golf tournaments, fine dining fund raisers, donor recognition events, new scholarships and bursaries for NWCC students, and a funding partnership with TransCanada and the provincial government for a Mobile Trades Training Unit.
