This module is designed to expose students with cognitive disabilities to basic budgeting strategies.
This module is designed to increase knowledge of basic workplace safety skills and behaviours. An opportunity to complete a 4-hour WHMIS course will be included.
On completion of this course students will have developed a basic knowledge of computers, how to create word processing documents, developed correct typing techniques, explored the internet and learned to communicate through e-mail.
This course will provide students with an opportunity to improve basic arithmetic skills needed by adults living independently. Calculators may be used.
Fieldwork practice gives students the opportunity to practice and transfer classroom theory to worksites. Students will complete three practicums to obtain course credit. Fieldwork practice may take place outside regular instructional hours.
