The Irving K. Barber British Columbia International Scholarships have been created by the Province of British Columbia and the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society. Scholarships will be given to Northwest Community College students who are pursuing part of their post-secondary studies and other approved experiential learning opportunities overseas.
The scholarship programs are intended to expand education opportunities for students and to recognize students who are educationally curious and interested in expanding their learning experiences in academic and work-related programs outside Canada.
This scholarship program is open to students who, after completing one years of study at a BC public college, university college or institute must transfer their credits into full-time studies at another public post-secondary institution in BC to complete their degree. Successful applicants must clearly demonstrate academic merit as well as significant involvement in their community and/or school.
For more information and to download the application, visit the Irving K. Barber website.
The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society supports post-secondary education by providing scholarships for students attending public post-secondary institutions. The Scholarship Society, in partnership with the Victoria Foundation, manages endowment funds and awards the return on investment to students through scholarship programs.
