Northwest Community College (NWCC) students are among the most satisfied students in the province, according to a recent provincial survey. Of students that completed certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees, between 2013 to 2015, NWCC students were 97% satisfied with the education they received.

The program specialties were broken out as follows:

  • Applied Sciences: 100% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)
  • Visual Arts: 100% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)
  • Business Programs: 98% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)
  • Human and Social Services: 98% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)
  • Arts and Sciences: 97% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)
  • Trades Certificates: 96% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)
  • Trades Apprenticeships: 93% satisfaction with education (2014 to 2016)
  • Health Programs: 91% satisfaction with education (2013 to 2015)

“Our faculty and staff work hard to meet the needs of the students," said Justin Kohlman, NWCC Vice President, Academic, Student and International. “It's wonderful to see that the students recognize and appreciate those efforts as they go forward to the workforce or to any university they want in the province."

The survey is produced by BC’s Ministry of Advanced Education, BCStats and BC Student Outcomes Research Forum. The survey also includes information about skills development and employment success. For more information visit: http://www2.bcstats.gov.bc.ca/Dashboard/
